Fascination in Fireworks

Last night, we took Jace to see the fireworks over at West Fest. We weren't able to walk around and see the displays because getting around on crutches is exhausting after awhile and a little difficult. So, we went with my family and found a spot, set out our lawn chairs, ate goodies, and watched the fireworks. Much to my surprise, Jace was wide awake and mesmerized by them. He was starting to act grumpy, but as soon as the display started, he just layed back and watched the bright colors in the air.

Jace is definitely amazed by the fireworks!Jace definitely takes after his daddy! He loves watching fireworksFamily night at the fireworks

Baby's First Campout

Last weekend, we took Jace on his first camping trip and let me tell you....it was quite interesting. About a month ago, I broke my foot carrying Jace down the stairs. Apparently, I did a great job because I broke 5 bones (one just in 4 pieces) and had to have a plate and 4 screws put in to hold it together. So, you can only imagine the excitement and difficulty camping was for me with sleeping in a tent with a baby that loves his crib and a broken foot.

Jace had a pretty good time being outside. He did manage to get himself a little sun (even though mommy put sunscreen on his face...she promises!) Night time was a whole different story. It took quite awhile getting Jace to sleep and then at about 2:00 am, he decided he was awake. He just cried and cried. Luckily, our tent was quite aways away from everyone else so they couldn't hear him. I spent the majority of the night up with him while Lance snored away.

He finally wore down after a long night!

The Fam

So, I just discovered that blogging is apparently a big thing. I'm really excited to try it out. To start with, Lance and I have been married for just over 2 years. We have our beautiful little 8-month old baby boy named Robert Jace, but of course, goes by Jace. Lance works full time for Select Health as a trainer. I work 20 hours a week for IHC updating patient accounts, so I get to spend most of my time with my little boy. Jace is such a joy. He's eating solid foods like a pro and trying to figure out crawling. He definitely wants to try it, but is just too lazy to move once he gets to his stomach. It'll come with time though, I know.
