Fun in the Sun

I think we finally got a small peek of Spring last week. It was so great! I took the advantage to take Jace out in the backyard to play with the dogs. It was fun for the most part, we have a puddle back there (still don't know where it's from) and Jace wanted to keep following the dogs into it, so finally, we had to come back inside.

Jace loves his Schroeder pup. He kept getting down to play with him.

He also loves Whitey! They are still great pals.

The dogs loved have Jace out with them just as much as Jace loved being with them!

Jace loved having free reign of the backyard. He just ran everywhere (don't mind our nasty backyard. We really need a dog run so that we can make ourselves a nice yard)!
More running. Jace has never got to be outside much, but he sure loves it!

Here's my sweet Schroeder. Isn't he so cute!?! I love him to pieces. He really needs a haircut though. He just loves posing for the camera.

Here's Whitey in the infamous puddle. He just gets so excited when we go outside, that he has to go stand in it for the attention. You can see how dirty he gets from the puddle. Silly dog.

Here's Schroeder smiling for the camera again! Have I mentioned that I just love this dog!

I can't wait for more warm weather so that we can have more fun days going outside to play!

Best Friends

So, I've been meaning to post for awhile, but our SD Card broke and I wasn't able to load the pictures on the computer. I mean, what fun is a post if there aren't any pictures to go along with it, right? I found the adapter from the computer to the camera tonight and I was finally able to load the pictures on the computer.

Jace is now almost 18 months! He's like 17 1/2, but close enough to me to consider it 18. I'm starting to count down the weeks until he goes into nursery. I'm a little nervous for that time to come though because I've notice recently that he doesn't like being left with complete strangers. Lance and I both had to sing at the Relief Society Birthday party a couple weeks ago, so Jace got to go to the nursery. Let's just say...he cried the whole time. Hopefully he'll adjust to being in there really quick.

So, I've recently discovered that Jace has a best friend! It's not another kid. Lance's grandma gave Jace an Elmo stuffed animal for Christmas. Well, I went on a relief society visit a couple weeks ago, and Elmo came on the tv and Jace just started dancing and laughing and pointing at him. I've never seen him so excited in my life! Well, I finally decided to give him his stuffed Elmo and he carried it everywhere. I would pretend to make it talk, and it just makes him laugh. Here are some pictures I've caught of Jace and his new friend.

I definitely think this is my favorite. Jace actually stopped and looked at me while I had the camera. It's like he wanted to show off his Elmo.

He will just carry it everywhere! He loves him to pieces. He's sitting here watch me blog about it and he's pointing at the pictures saying "Elmo".

He even has to take him in the car with him. You can see that Elmo is about the same size as him.

Here he managed to get his head out from behind him.

He even likes reading with him. They really are the best of friends!

Jace has been pretty sick the past couple nights. Well, the other night he was up crying and I couldn't get him to sleep or anything and Sesame Street came on at 1 AM. So I turned it on and Jace was just as happy as could be watching it. I guess it was the cure he needed seeing his favorite, Elmo, on the TV.

Our House

So, like my last post said, it was a VERY windy night last night.  Here's proof of that.  And it wasn't even the windiest it's ever been out in Tooele.  Last year we had like a hurricane wind storm that seemed to be much worse than this.  Anyways....here's how our house handled the wind last night.

I've been going around our yard this morning collecting pieces of siding, but after seeing the extent of the damage, I think it's time to call the homeowners insurance.  And maybe while I'm at it, maybe I'll get them to fix the carpeting in the basement too.

Going Crazy!

I'm not one to use my blog for complaining.  In fact, I really hate complaining to other people.  I'm sure I complain to my husband all the time.  I just want to say that life is chaotic right now!  It seems like we start to get things under control and then something bad happens.  Lance's poor truck got broken into a few months ago and we need to fix the window on it so we can register it and we've been waiting for a tax return to fix it, so until then, we only have 1 car and who knows how much it costs to get a window replaced?!?  I hope the weather turns good soon so I can get my exercise in.  Being in the relief society presidency, there is a lot to do each week and now I get to use my own 2 feet to get where I need to go.  That's okay though, as long as the weather is good, I don't mind getting a little exercise in.  Plus, it's good to get my foot healed from when I broke it back in last May (yes, I'm still recovering from it!)

I don't know how many times our house has flooded since we moved in, probably like 3 times.  We need to find a way to dig up our yard and fix the problem, but again, until the weather is nice and we know what we're doing, it's going to be a little hard.

This week, I've tried to get cleaning done and then when I went to vacuum, it wouldn't suck any of the garbage up off the floor...blah.  I guess we should have asked for a new vacuum for Christmas like Lance wanted to do.  I guess I need to listen to him more often.

Tonight is a very windy night.  We left our puppy outside because we were planning on getting home later tonight.  I joked around with Lance on the way home just saying that I hope our puppy didn't blow away.  Well, when we got home tonight, I could hear little crying but couldn't see anything.  So, I got out the flashlight and walked around and found the poor little guy stuck in the window well.  I think the wind must've blew him in there.  I'm just grateful that he didn't get hurt at all.  I was worried about him breaking a leg or something like that, but he was fine.

Can I mention again that it's VERY windy outside tonight!  Well, we found another surprise coming home tonight.  We have siding blowing off our house.  There's 1 big piece gone and another heading on its way off.  That's a whole other project we need to get to.  We haven't gotten our carpet put back down in the basement yet from it flooding.  Who knows when the siding issue will get taken care of!?!

Anyways, like I said, things are crazy in our lives right now and I know that through all of these hard times, the Lord is watching over us.  He knows our needs and is taking care of us.  I know that by paying our tithing, it makes things a little easier for us.  He really is watching over us and loves each and everyone of us!
